If you are new to the financial world, welcome #x . Two years were enough. Laurentian Bank will teach you everything you need to know but the job if VERY redundant. The company won't provide you with equipment to work from home. Very difficult to deal with its customers since most of them want to receive a proper service in French and apparently if you do not speak QC French, it is NOT enough. I wouldn't recommend unless you are looking for a job and can't find anything else. It is a great school, ok benefits and fair pay for what you are actually doing but lots of calls, no idle time, no admin time.

It's a changing bank with lots of opportunities they offer. It's easier to move up within the bank than the other banks. On the other hand, the salary paid doesn't follow up with the cost of living in Toronto. Also, there is lots of politics in the company hierarchy.

If you want to start your financial career somewhere, this is the place to be. It will push you to discover answers to your questions by picking people's minds. Although the culture of B2B is not reliant on social interaction, if you come from a closed-off job to this, it makes for a good transition. It certainly will not help you improve your social skills if you come from a selling position and this job might not be for you. It is repetitive in nature and the instruction received, as well as training, is being conducted by people who have been in your position and learned the tips and tricks of how certain work assignments need to be done. Needless to say, not everyone is a good teacher so it creates confusion more often than not as two people can give different advice in regards to how to complete a task. Donc beaucoup de roulement d'employés, étant donné les emplois qui sont maintenant précaires. La direction et les gestionnaires sous-estiment les connaissances et le travail des employés.

The sole and purpise of recruiting newcomers in this company is to take advantage of them. After planning to layover every unionised worker in Quebec, they are just hiring new comers with a very low salary, temporary contracts and not a single incentive or advantage. Yiu need to be permanent to get anything and to be permanent is just very difficult. There is big potential of growth and learning but it is just wasted by incadescent discriminative old ways managers who only got there by staying and waiting, sometimes it is hard to just explain the simplest concept or idea and you will hear comments and critique that will push you to just keep quiet and not bring your ideas to the table.
