Fun place to work and great people
Professional Axe Coach (Employé actuel) – Mississauga, ON – 1 juin 2017
A typical day at work starts with setting up targets and making sure the axes are ready to be thrown, as well as a bit of cleaning and then a party comes in and you begin to coach them on throwing an axe, followed by mini games/a tournament.
I learned coaching skills and public speaking, also how to throw an axe which was pretty neat/fun.
Management is good, but doesn't listen to a lot of what the employees have to suggest (decor, precautions, etc.) Other then that they are easy to talk to,nice, and accommodating.
The hardest part of the job is having to come in with a lot of energy and keep the people entertained, but it's a great job to have and I love it.
The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing how excited everyone gets when they can stick an axe, and all the thanks I get at the end of night for the experience provided.
free food/drinks, learn to throw an axe, entertainment
on call, hours can vary, public speaking (70 + people at times)
