Very fast paced hectic work environment at Aryzta. Schedules can be very erratic and work life balance is not the best, Compensation however is pretty decent for the area.

When I first started working there it was an okay place to work. Once I was fully trained & went on my own crew, that's when things got bad. I was the only supervisor at the time. They increased production (12 hour shifts) to a 6 day work week from a 4 day work week. When you are working 144 hours every two weeks & your only getting compensated for 80 hours there's something seriously wrong with this company. I spoke with the owner's daughter who had no idea of any Human Resources relations even though she was given the title. They swore that they didn't have a budget to bring another supervisor on board but were in the process of a $10 million dollar expansion. It got to the point that I was leaving early to justify my salary. They had several meetings with me regarding my attendance & I told them (C.O.O., Production Manager & owners daughter) that this work schedule was for someone that was an undocumented worker. Did I just say that? Yes, their entire workforce are undocumented workers. They have no regard for any employee & will work you to death like you are a slave. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR FAMILY LIFE OR WAGES.

The pay at this company for management is excellent. There is a lot of pressure to succeed however not all tools necessary to effectively perform the job is provided. There is a culture in management to point the finger and terminate someone as a scapegoat without really trying to resolve the root cause of the problem. This provides insecurity, mistrust and instability within the management ranks. The frontline employees are enthuiastic in wanting to provide a quality and good product and put their heart and soul in doing so. There is not a lot of interaction between upper management and frontline employees and therefore a general mistrust of management exist between the frontline employees and middle and upper management. A typical day at work involved running a production line and handling various technical problems that causes unacceptable product quality. Many of these issues are mechanically related and requires the intervention of a maintenance staff for repair. The co-workers are dedicated to performing their duties and know their jobs very well. The knowledge of the frontline employees are not taken in consideration by management when problems arise on the production line and therefore many errors are made in redesigning or even repairing breakdowns on the line.The most enjoyable part of the job is the enthuiasm seen in the front line employees face when there is success.
