First Step - Correct their systemic chronically bottomed out low employee moral. Why is it, Arpac continues to have such a high turnover, in all departments - as high as 9 vacancies - a company with only 200 employees? Beginning with their H/R department - eliminate their obvious daily clique "fun and frolic" sessions within the Parts & Service departments. Clearly at the expense of not focusing on the day to day responsibilities H/R.
Extremely low morale, nothing but negative feed-back, always in the dark as to performance reviews - never heard the words "job well done", expressed to anyone. In summary a very discouraging place of employment. All of the above equates to Arpac Storage Systems being stressful for both employee and family!

I went through a normal process, had a phone interview that was quick, then came in for a formal interview.
Questions seemed pretty normal, asked out my skills and experience, gave me situations and asked how I would handle them, communication with customers and coworkers and safety.
The HR department was involved as well as the manager. Also had an online test to do and I think they do references. Took about 2 weeks total.

How do you rate employee moral as compared to your competitors. What percentage of growth by employee levels has Arpac gained/lost in the last 10 years? Are their plans to unionize? What is your experience rating with WCB? Does Arpac have plans to be recognized as one of the top 50 companies to work for in Canada? How many sick days are allowed per year? If sick days are not taken, can they be accumulated year after year or are non-taken sick days paid out annually? Can I expect annual reviews?
