There have been over fifteen key leadership role changes in ten years. Turnover is high. The customer base is weak and very focused. Product diversity is poor. It is basically a one customer, one line operation facing strong competition. People are generally nervous and edgy regarding employement. The threat to close is stated weekly. The saving grace is the long term shop floor employees ability to adapt daily to new priorities. They literally will do anything to stay employeed.
The people continually find ways to satisfy budgets and customers.
Too much is deeply rooted in the past hindering the future.
I worked on a line and had to inspect parts as they came to me. Had to do hourly checks and quality control. Had to maintain a clean and safe work area. Was sometimes many different jobs in a day, had to learn quickly how to run a job and change over machines.
very good pay
8 hour shifts willing to work whatever hours are neededSafe operation of equipmentWorked with little or no supervisionWorked well within a team oriented environmentThere was not anything after being trained that was difficult about any of the tasks I was asked to performThe best part about the job was the interaction with co-workers
the people and the work was rewarding

Fast paced environment. Very lean operation on the floor. Unexpected absences sometimes cause issues. Long term employees very skilled.Somewhat heavy in some management departments.
unstable customer base.
8 hour days-Shiftwork. Learned to run Forklifts and a crane. Usually worked with very little supervision to complete my tasks. Made many friendships with co-workers and Management.
