Not great management
Lead Hand (Ancien employé) - Halifax, NS - 4 décembre 2023
Management won't help with any issues. The turn over is so high that no supervisors know what they're doing and parking is awful. Parking should be available for anyone working at Dal

Working with location manager not the hierup management The location Manger always said we had to maintain his reputation as a Good cook or we will have a problem, What is the work environment and culture like at the company? We served good people customers some kitchen staff were buddies with location manager and were lazy as location Manger had some people do all the work telling them he control their job What is a typical day like for you at the company? Come to work start doing customers orders well the Manger sat in office playing with his computer , In then afternoon do preps and look after some cutomer orders, look after dinner services the clean kitchen and go home

Very Bad Experience.
FOH Server (Ancien employé) - Lakefield, ON - 21 novembre 2023
It had its good parts but overall a terrible place to work, all employees would walk on egg shells around the manager, and treated horribly if you called in by said manager. Even though it was a pandemic and you shouldn’t come to work sick especially where you have to serve over 300 people and be around food. Staff are rude to other staff members especially new ones.

Horrible wage, horrible job
Dietary Aide (Ancien employé) - Calgary, AB - 9 novembre 2023
It would be better to work in retail as you stand around and do nothing and collect the same wage if not more than at Aramark. We only got paid minimum wage for 3 hours of dinner service and you essentially have to do a whole 6 hour shifts worth of work in those 3 hours and make it presentable. By the end of it you can only wonder how you survived.

Not great
Concession Worker (Ancien employé) - Rogers Center, ON - 8 novembre 2023
Bad management as they don’t provide any leadership training. Decent pay especially if you work somewhere with a tip program. If you need a first job not a bad choice but not for longevity.

I never found myself saying I didn’t want to go to work
Camp maintenance (Ancien employé) - Gunnar mine - 1 novembre 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Staff members were really friendly. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? I found it wasn’t stressful . I was allowed to do my job with no one bothering me. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Serious with a lot of laughter. Other staff were hard working as well. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Very easy to concentrate on my work with no drama.

Kind of a mess
General Helper (Ancien employé) - Ottawa, ON - 30 octobre 2023
If you need a minimum wage job, it pretty much gets you that. But when it comes down to the jist of it, there's very little progression unless you're ready to dump 2-3 years to get a pay increase of 2-3 dollars an hour. Not really worth it considering you're dealing with constant shortage of staff and micromanagement from managers.

Emplois et carrières chez Aramark
Not the best.
Cook 1 (Employé actuel) - Dining services - 24 octobre 2023
Overworked and severely under paid. Management does not care about the staff, they work staff to their breaking point. Positive the top quality they look for in a manager is to have no empathy for other people. Union is probably the worst out there, pay union dues for NOTHING. They prefer staff who don't know their rights who they can push around and exploit.
Points positifs
Nothing.
Points négatifs
Everything.

Not for everyone
Chef Manager (Ancien employé) - Toronto, ON - 23 octobre 2023
Lack of career advancement opportunities. Often times the salary doesn't justify the amount of responsibilities. Limited support from managers, very little training when you start.

Basic Pay - Could be better
Wait Staff (Ancien employé) - Carleton University, ON - 22 octobre 2023
Working environment is good. Management should be more organized. Standing all day long could be challenging. Pay is Basic for a wait staff, should be at least a bit better with Aramark standard, basic pay is not worth the job. Meeting with new people is the fun part.

Former Supervisor
Hourly Supervisor - Queen's University Hospitality Services (Food Court) (Ancien employé) - Kingston, ON - 10 octobre 2023
Overall I was very satisfied with my job till upper management would get involved, moving you around and asking for more duties to be added onto an already heavy work load. Location managers and supervisors have no union and were offen mistreated by those above who saw it fit to micromanage them to the breaking point. Locations short staff would have staff pulled to help with busy fully staffed locations and left to scrambled to fill the slot. NEW supervisors were often left under-trained by themselves for hours, with no support to oversee locations with multiple venues late into the night and written up for duties that were incomplete or staying late to complete duties. Doctors note were often lost, misplaced or down-right ignored. And head mangers often couldn’t complete even half the task that location mangers and supervisors were expected to do.

Unethical business practices
Barista/Cashier (Ancien employé) - Ottawa, ON - 18 septembre 2023
They prioritize profit over the well being of their employees. Will ask you to do work for free while promising promotions. Then ask you to train the person the hire instead. Alot of nepotism hiring.
