Avis d'employé sur Amica Senior Lifestyles
Great start for high school or college students
The management was amazing, in that they actually treated their employees like human beings. They also show appreciation, support and get-in there and help out staff. This is much needed in an environment where residents can be very rude and/or demanding. At times, it was crazy busy and other times it was extremely boring. The pay was on the low side for an upscale residence, which makes no sense that other facilities that cater to low/middle class people pays much higher than this place! Overall, it is a great place to start off your career and gain valuable skills that are transferrable.

Low pay and very demanding seniors
I looked forward to this job and was disappointed when I found out the dining room was a joke, nothing but middle aged, micro managing gossipy women and a few younger girls with cell phones attached to their heads Virtually no clue how to deal with an aging clientele. Talked to them as if they were children and just barged into their rooms without knocking when doing meal service. Thank you to the 3 decent people, though ,with whom I worked. And praise for the steps in protecting all who entered there with strict covid 19 procedures
This job is very fast-paced and one needs to be able to learn quickly because there is a lot to remember including fine dining set-up, chit sheets, serving, etc.
I learned valuable customer service skills, particularly with the elderly which is a valuable skill because the elderly have many special and specific needs which need to be remembered and cared for.
