Your day at work will generally be office-oriented, but being able to work long days in the field is a must. Friendly staff, excellent field pay. Use ArcGIS and in-house applications to complete work tasks. I found that the workplace culture is quite clicky, and hard to break into as most of the employees have worked with each other in the past at different companies. They have a wealth of knowledge and help is not too far away. Management is considerate of your needs and will work with you to see that they are met.
People with good hearts and unparalleled dedication and skills. If they like you which is easily the case if you are a worker with due diligence, they will treat you very well and keep the door open for you even when you leave.
I got laid off because of downsizing the company so they started to laid off from those ppl they had hired recently.
I got job offer from the manager many times as well.
but started to study management.
I'm the type of worker who doesn't want someone looking over my shoulder all day and Altus is definitely the type of company that does not do that! They are very flexible about working from home and hours, as long as you get your work done. I finally feel like I'm being treated like an adult in a workplace!!
A very professional environment. Very dynamic corporation that values leadership and personal initiative. Learned a lot from my managers and colleagues and built a great relationship with them and clients.
My experience at Altus Group, I worked as a technician Construction Claim Management,
•Reviewed and Analyzed detailed schedule delays using Primavera P6
•Delay analysis of baseline schedule and current schedule to analyze schedule slippage
•Created a schedule for planning residential site appraisal visits using MS project
•Site construction progress reviews visit ( low rise offices )
