Do not, I repeat, DO NOT apply to work at alsco. Managers bully employees, use scare tactics to get what they want. If you stand up for yourself they'll target you. Save yourself some stress and work elsewhere.
Some good people, easy job
Horrible management, unprofessional management, low wages for amount of work expected, benefits take an insanely long time to start.
A very good company to work for very nice work conditions and helpful co-workers ... makes for a great team effort to get product to customers great work life balance ... and earnings are above average ...
I used to work in Alsco Edmonton branch when they used to have good managers. Right now its been running with unprofessional, inconsiderate managers. They would ask for overtime but they wont pay you right. And if you can't do overtime you will be expecting you will have a hard time at work. As managers take it very personal. No increase no oppurtunity to learn more no career advancement. And they pay low. No sympathy or even empathy. I most gladly I dont work for this company anymore.Their not worth of your time and hard work.
Good environment to be working in. The only down fall is the communication between different departments. The benefit package could be a bit more especially for the departments where its harder on the body.
Manager (Ancien employé) – Alberta – 2 juillet 2014
Management at the corporate level have lost touch with their senior managers. People generate these numbers they're chasing but the worker is still but a commodity. They handcuff senior managers in areas of budget forcing labour decisions to stay on track while short handed. GM's make the real money while golfing and senior managers get nothing. There is no incentive to move up within the company, no loyalty. If one could only make decisions upward and you had the ability to also fire upward, you could change the culture within Canada. The Regional Mgr. needs work!
I would not work for this company & I'm thankful I got out when I still had a life.
Some good people, pension
poor wages for production staff, unprofessional, RSR's need better corporate sales training.
