Very stressful days, not enough time to work on the tasks, and the deadlines are unrealistic. Management does not care about your needs. People end up leaving because management always agree to do something about their work structure but they don't do anything to help the teams. As much as you want to help customers they make it very hard for you to provide the right service.
You will work over time and will not be paid for it, and the workload and deadlines are unrealistic/ very stressful job, not worth the money
The work environment is extremely stressful. Customers are very hard to deal with and I often work overtime to finish the work. Management gives a lot of pressure, not support, in order to meet their targets.

Change in benefits/retirement benefits results in long term employees (over 10 years) seeing a significant financial loss. These are the same employees who have contributed to the company's current financial success. Senior leadership has yet to address why their longest serving employees must bear this cost. But seeing the company's current financial success it's easy to figure out the answer - corporate greed.
3yrs in total. Last yr upper management views changed / so did all bonuses & commissions .. it switch it views from making $$ to saving $$.. I couldn't take the pay cut ..
Job isn't bad but the company is very demanding of the staff for targets and requirements. Work life balance is absolutely horrible, the company now requires that every employee regardless of role take their laptop home daily. Office dynamic is fun most agents get along, there's a lot of laughter that goes on most days but production isn't always top of mind. Agency does different team building exercises after company hours which are fun, we also try to do potlucks a few times a year. Overall the office has a good atmosphere but the company's requirements make it very difficult.
This company is the best company I have ever worked for when it comes to supporting go-getters. If you are someone who wants to clock in and clock out and get a high 6 figure income you are not going to like it here. However, it is positioned to have no real ceiling for income and on the tough months has a higher base salary than most. Any time I have had an idea to market myself, the company has always supported it and offers at the very least a 50% reimbursement on most ideas.
Autonomy over schedule and income
In sales your pay structure will change without notice. Most sales agents don’t understand how they are compensated. High turnover rate (most agents seem to leave after about 1 year). It is encouraged to not sell based on the customers needs, but rather what will help improve the offices sales premiums / quota. Customer service is lacking. Little time allotted for actual sales as the business development agent is also responsible for receptionist work (answering phones, filing etc)
I learned how good I had it prior to this job.
I wasted a year working long hours here.
I feel allstate can be a great place to work, provided management is on track with equal treatment of all employees. Each office will be different as they are managed by a different manager
-My time at allstate was quite a learning experience in the sense that i was able to learn a multitude of customer service techniques and insurance do's and don'ts within my time. -truth be told there isnt much incentive for someone to truly recommend you to work for allstate, they pride themselves on they're amazing hire rate but failed to disclose the horrendous turnover rate that they have as well, the managers at allstate are not supportive in anyway so if there is a problem or concern rest assured it will be turned to deaf ears as they dont have the time to assist you with that.
15% off home and auto insurance
Management is not supportive, work load doesn't match the salary
IT department is filled up with political poison with new management vs employees working for decades. Directors and managers are non-technical and make critical decisions without consulting the technically knowledgeable. Lack of emotional intelligence is a major cause of politically charged enviornment which is bad for the health of the employees and the business.
Reasonable salary package and good benefits.
Politically charged IT department
capturing requirements, understanding business processes, identifying data sources, extracting data, performing data cleansing, validation, transformation, aggregation, visualization and prediction
work and life balance
lower salary than market
-Working at Allstate is great for the benefits. -You learn a lot about how insurance works, if you don't already -The management is great- understanding -Hardest part of the job is not being able to help the customer if there is a rate increase. -The enjoyable part is the team you work with, if you get a great manager and team- it's great.
Working at Allstate is great for the benefits, but you do need to be able to handle stress for this job. You learn a lot about how insurance works, if you don't already The management is great- understanding but there are flaw when it comes being able to progress within the company. Hardest part of the job is not being able to help the customer and if not you're always the bad guy even if you do your best. However, the enjoyable part is the team you work with, if you get a great manager and team- it's great.
