A great company to work for if you are wanting to get experience in the Airline Industry. The staff and management are friendly and supportive. Great stepping stone to open up your opportunities within the industry.

Place to start to work on airports
Crew Chief/Ramp Agent (Employé actuel) –  Winnipeg, MB26 mai 2017
The pay is really low, you start with $11.30/hour, people come and go as they find higher paying positions. The higher management expects underpaid workers to play around with jet planes that cost millions of dollars. Work is hard, not for the weak ones. Summer, winter, cold, hot, rain, snow, -45 windchill, etc. This job is only for people who really like to work on airports and need the money. Middle-level management is okay, they understand the workers but can't do much about the pay.
Points positifs
Working outside, physical work (instead of a gym), fun for people who like airports, lots of overtime
Points négatifs
Low salary, high staff turnover, high management doesn't care about employees

Management makes working conditions ridiculously poor
Ramp Agent (Employé actuel) –  Winnipeg, MB7 avril 2017
Management at ATS will harass and threaten long time serving employees until they eventually give up and quit. Working at ATS is a living nightmare and the pay isn't worth it.

This company is a joke. Stay far away
Ramp Agent (Employé actuel) –  Winnipeg, MB6 février 2017
This company treats its employees like garbage. Management are a bunch of drunks. They will give new employees a used uniform because they don't think you will stay long enough. There are constant safety issues due to lack of training. No room for advancement. Constant payroll mess ups. Management is always trying to save money, cut corners, etc. This company is a joke. Don't even waste your time.

fun workplace if you really love being around airplanes
Ramp Agent (Employé actuel) –  Winnipeg, MB3 février 2017
We always have the same routine at work every single. We offload and onload every single bag that is in the plane. We arrange the bags of the passengers according to their flight number.
Points positifs
Free food sometimes
Points négatifs
long hours and poor management

You barely make just above minimum wage.
Ramp Agent (Employé actuel) –  Winnipeg, MB26 novembre 2016
Not a bad entry level job working on steel birds, loading and offloading bags in confined spaces are challenging at times but it's a good workout & the cold weather is quite nasty as the airport is super windy for some reason. Other than that the pay really sucks so don't stick around too long $11.30/hr isn't worth it.
Points positifs
Westjet benefits after 3 months, part time shifts are short and you get a nice workout
Points négatifs
Just a few cents above minimum wage

Horrible, do not even think about applying here
Ramp agent (Ancien employé) –  Winnipeg, MB24 novembre 2016
Horrible horrible horrible company. Management sucks, training sucks, equipment sucks, everything about this company sucks. Constant turnover, unqualified trainers, be prepared not to be trained on anything. This company does not care about its employees. Everyone in management is condescending. This company also frequently breaks labour laws.

its really cool seeing planes come and walking it out to the taxiway.
I learned different types of planes .
managers loves to joke around
everyone at ATS gets along very well
the hardest part of the job is whenever there's an event going on for ex: fifa, hockey games, it gets really busy and you have to push the plane on time
the most enjoyable part of the job is, everything
Points positifs

It was alright if you're looking for next to no hours and not the best pay. People are alright there but the managers suck.

Very basic job
Painter (Ancien employé) –  Winnipeg, MB21 octobre 2012
A typical day at work:
-Painted storage containers
I learned how to paint with a roller.
It was my great uncle who gave me the job, so I didn't see it as management as much as a family member giving me money to do small tasks.
I had no co-workers.
Hardest part of the job was dealing with the heat, and the repetitive motion of going up and down with the roller.
The most enjoyable part of the job was making money.
Points positifs
working for family
Points négatifs
working alone
