Took multiple chats at a time, called advertisers and kept ownership of cases by converting chats to email cases. Programs needed for work were taken away so the job got a lot heard to maintain.

Starting was easy as a CSR but as they expanded they cared less and less about employees. This is a call center environment with minimal pay and stressful fast changes with limited support from management. They had originally said it was a 9-5 job and contiuously changed the times of the role, expectations and work flow. Not to mention you have to bid for shifts. Time off is limited too. I was told once that getting bad shifts was out of my control although I was doing incredible work and there was nothing I could do to get better stats for the shift bid. Ultimately, working for a large social media giant with high stakes made this workplace care less about the people in it. I worked in multiple areas of the business. Their view of working is that this place is as good as it gets so you might as well stay.

During the interview I was told that this place belies in family first and they support their employees with families and will work with them to make sure any needs might be met. This is not true, a few of us have had family emergencies and we we bring them up to our management they say oh well you better find a way to fix this. Also when you are struggling on chats there is no one around to help you. Over all very poor support

Unrealistic goals. Very stressful work. Ever changing requirements. Very little support. Poor leadership. Extremely limited growth options. Game room, yoga studio that people have no time to use.

I worked at accenture for over a year and they kept extending my contract as a tactic so they did not have to give me vacation or benefits.

Also their leads don't know the job and recommend one thing one day, then fault you for the thing they told you to do in the first place. Nothing is ever good enough there either and no one ever says hey good job. Take this as a warning don't ever work at this place no matter what. It's not worth the hassle

constantly understaffed, all employees are flexed to 44 hrs weekly. Some employees get by on the bare minimum, and then you have to fix their mistakes. Good benefits, casual dress, paid lunches sometimes, and great open door policy.

Accenture treats their employees well until they don't. They purposely keep extending your contract with the excuse that they want to see that you can continue at the level you currently are. They do that until you reach the point where they have to legally give you benefits. When that day comes: without warning, they'll stop you at your computer, ask you come to the conference room for a meeting, walk you there, sit you down and tell you your contract has finished and to sign the dotted line. No explanation. You can't go back to your desk to gather your bag. They will escort you out of the building. They did this to my whole team. They FLY SOMEONE IN TO FIRE EVERYONE. Rinse and repeat. And if you were brought in by a third party agency they'll drop you at the turn of a dime. Not just you, but your whole team.
It's cheaper for the company to hire and train all new people every 6-11 months than to pay those employees health benefits. I know an employee who had the top stats on the floor and she only lasted 3 months before they terminated her contract. (They had stopped working with the agency that they had hired her through.) She was always on time and was very good at what she did. She brought good service to the company, but they didn't care.

If you do decide to put yourself through the intense hiring process, do yourself a favor and only stay for the 4 weeks of full-time paid training until you can find something better. It's not worth putting your time and energy into the company just to be kicked to the curb when paying for your medical bills doesn't interest them.

I was hired to help customers understand their bills, and answer questions about their gas services, but at the end of the day, the company doesn't care about helping the callers. They only care about how quickly you get the caller off the line, and how many other calls you can cram into your day.

I was actually contracted to work for Accenture, even though I applied for both the contract position and the one directly through Accenture. For those who don't know, this is a tactic Accenture uses to drum up more applications (since they show up under a different company name) and avoid having to pay out benefits or adhere to labour laws set out for a regular employee. I know this information is publicly available, because I asked about it before I signed my contract, and they told me. You can be terminated with no notice, they do not have to pay a minimum three hours if you go home sick, andat the end of the contract, they don't have to take you on as permanent if they decide to keep you. They can EXTEND your contract for up to another six months, meaning six more months of grinding to meet the stats and fearing for your job (they drop people like crazy) and six more months of no benefits or job security.

What they did to me and other contracted workers though is even worse. It was still several weeks before our set contract end date, and we still hadn't received notice as to whether we'd be extended. Instead, Accenture waited until my day off to contact our contractor, tell them our contract was ended effective immediately, and that we were not permitted to call or even visit the office for our belongings. I live ten minutes away and they mailed me my things.


As far as actual work life at Accenture, it was actually better than most contact centers. The management was great. Very supportive, encouraging etc. But that support and encouragement came at a high cost,

Love the people, love the culture. Tough and challenging work. Great attitude. Bi-weekly mentorship with managers. They stress a lot with compliance and ethics and that's always great in a company.

Very good company to work for! Great career ladder and potential to move up which is very important. Management is excellent. Never had any issues with the company.

So far I really like it. The support there is amazing, They want you to succeed. IF you are dealing with personal issues, they are so understanding, you just need to talk to them.

They do not nickel and dime you on your hours, so if you are scheduled for 40 hours a week ( after 30 minute lunch) and you do not call in sick or leave early you will get paid for a full 40 hours.


The negative part is when you are hired, its as a contract, which means no benefits, or paid sick days until you hired permanently. Which can take approximately 6 months.


However once you are permanent, you get paid sick days, vacation, great benefits, you can bank hours, and use them towards extra vacation


shift bids every month, so you have the same schedule for a full month. Always have 2 days off in a row.

This was a great experience. I learned a lot of new things and was given a lot of opportunities. I was sad to leave but moved to Calgary. They had very good bonus every year.

People in Thorold are great. They do however, have little control over how things are run as this is a huge company and decisions are made elsewhere.
This was once the premiere call center in the area, the one to work for, not any more as the pay is only at minimum rate.

The training is excellent, work environment is good, career growth is highly appreciated and place is multi cultural and vibrant.
