Sometimes I felt that why I am doing work here because they were not giving my hours as I was only one who was new and part-time worker. I needed to work for at least 20 hours In a week but they were only giving me 8 or 13 hours per week.
Got hired by the franchisee ( D ) as an entry level General Manager with a lowest salary for that position. Long ,non-stops home training with short deadlines. Training-on-site was funny because you have not only to learn but to master from cook to management roles ,but "good side" is they will transfer you to new locations frequently without notice !!! Lack of communication between the management and the trainee. That result in the missing materials and supervision. Manager was my title on the schedule since the beginning ,so I was a bit confused about the job that I applied for ,but I was okay with that if that what they wanted. Also, management is more confused about their plan on me. BTW,I tried my best to learn and apply all the materials into my job in about 2 months. However, some issues are never been fixed, so I've decided to send out my resignation and 2 weeks notice to the company. One day after that,an upper manager tried to negotiate but we weren't on the same page.As the result,I received a PROBATION TERMINATION LETTER after I finished my shift the next evening and that effective right away. I understand business has to save their money by cutting down any excess cost. But the question is: Was that the right thing that AWGTA teaches their employees in their Climates ?
Good co-workers, free meal for management staff during shifts, 40% for other staff

C'est triste de constater, qu'une compagnie comme A&W, qui se dit verte, m'est autant de nourritures aux poubelles. Toutes leurs sauces, légumes et fromages est jetés au bout de 2heures.
Gaspillage alimentaire, salaire.
its nice place to work. i used to do overnights and got premium py that was a good thing.Be good with people, a great listener and cool down tense situations. it help guests get the information or service they need
free lunch. 65% discounts off work
Hard to get the hours, managers don't schedule fairly (ex: call in sick, you don't get hours the next week or they're very low and out of your availability) just really poor everything there. $100 for the uniforms, online training you don't get paid for. Everything about this experience sucked.
If this is going to be your first job go ahead and apply. I had a pretty decent experience, and the low income didn't bother me because I was still in school and just needed extra cash. You make friends with a lot of the people you work with, so the environment is pretty okay, and the shifts go faster.
Managers and employees there before my being hired were given better hours and shifts. I only recieved maybe 2 days work a week and only for 3-4hrs at a time even after I expressed interest in more hours.
Half priced food for myself
Not enough hours and managers definitely played favorites
I really liked it at first the pay was never good and no benefits but for the most part the people are great and made it fun. I wasn't a fan of when I voiced my concerns of a coworker bulling people including me it this ended up just being brushed off as nothing.
No paid breaks half hour lunches and schedule changes unannounced. Staff helpful and friendly when first starting. Non paid computer base training at home prior to start
Work life balance non existent
