It's a good experience working at A&W, you get to learn a lot of new things. Somedays are stressful but working together as a team makes it easier. the most enjoyable part of the job is that everybody helps each other in any way.
people calling in sick all the time
The Staff is very friendly and flexible hours to work, a wonderful learning opportunity every team member is treated with respect and trust. The hiring process is not very stressful and there is ample help throughout the training period and even after.
If you are seeking for a baseline job that will help make you money, A&W is a great option. However, this job can be extremely stressful and tedious a some points during busy times of the day. You will meet great people and make new friendships.

working at A&W caused a lot of stress. The GM knows how to manage, but the store manager that he/she hired was incompetent and i was stuck doing his/her job 75% of the time. other staff members can be rude to both coworkers and customers. Advancement is barely a thing, and even if you get a supervisor position, its only a dollar more that you already make + you get 20 more things you have to do daily.
15% off meals
Barely any staff, sometimes get asked to work 16 hours a day if someone calls in
It has been a great experience for me to work at A&W so far, they have a really great work culture. I was able to learn a lot from them since, the past 7 months of my joining the workplace. It has been a great adventure for me to learn the kitchen and apply those to real life.
A&W is an excellent introduction into the fast-food industry. Though, I generally see it simply as an introduction for beginners. The job culture and flexibility of their restaurants are excellent and very positive overall. Though I must admit that the potential for career advancement through A&W is incredibly low and isn't worth your time for more than a temp position. They often are run by sole franchise operators so management can vary greatly from location to location.
Easy to operate environment, Excellent for beginners to the culinary field.
Management varies greatly, Low platform for career advancement.
The training is extensive which is great. Each restaurant is different depending on the franchiser. Its a minimum wage kind of job so there is not much place for advancements or raises. Great place to work for your first job!
This particular job was not hard in my opinion, the work was fairly easy but the management and communication needed much improvement, and the lack of management needed improvement and never improved.
The management had to many favorites, where management would favor staff and allow them to do things that others would get in trouble for. The company was full of very immature staff, including owner and managers. Work was easy, but environment made it hard to go into work everyday.
Good first job
Really enjoyed my time there, i met many great people. Loved going into work everyday Always had a positive attitude even when discouraged.I loved closing, it was mt favorite. Everyday different situations happen and you learn how to deal with them.
