Having a boss who talks about others is a very big no, and having a boss who doesn't understand what unsafe work means, needs to be trained better, ☹️
Earning free lunches when you were hungry
Having your free meals taken, because that one person made a mistake and the whole group gets punished for it, not fair

working at a restaurant can be very stress full at time but its still very fun there is always something to do and keeps us busy. its a very fast pace job. you need to have a lot of patience when dealing with customers. over all its a great place to work at.
A&W is a fast paced food service especially the one I work since it’s in the mall. My experience there has been amazing. The management is great. They let you know what you can work on and give you feedback on how to improve. I’ve currently been working at A&W for about 5 years now and it’s been the best experience
I enjoy working at A&W because when you get along with other employees everything is more fun and the day goes really fast. I enjoy working when it is busy because I like moving fast.
Boss is extremely rude and disrespectful. Does not respect requests for time off or specific hours, does not respect how difficult this job is, or any employees. Culture is amazing, the people there are so hard working and sweet. I only received one unpaid 30 minute break when the law required it. Minimum wage and no room for it to increase. Hard job, on your feet for the full shift and no standing or sitting allowed. Customers are often quite rude and management doesn’t help. Supervisors are amazing, but everyone hates my boss. I’ve never met someone so disrespectful. Discount is quite terrible as well.
Easy to get lots of hours, coworkers are amazing
Disrespect of employees
Its challenging work to work in restaurant. Its unpredictable industry it might get busy on certain days of week or moderate during rest of week. It helps you to learn every aspect about restaurant it could be providing great guest experience to working under tremendous pressure in kitchen.
Flexiblity to work in any section of restaurant
I like the coworkers and the easiness of the job itself. The routine is so easy to follow and it's easy to learn everything at this job. However, the management was so mean to me apparently. They cut off my hours and they treat me so bad that I could cry in an instant. They don't also pay overnight differentials and only give short breaks. They don't also give pay stubs, holiday pay and 2 week paid vacation. Overall, it's a wonderful experience with my coworkers and customers.
50% food discount, free when you work overnight shifts
Long hours, bad management, and unpaid holidays
i believe this job was important part of my work life. as this was my first job in Canada. so the work environment was nice experience for me to get to know Canadian people and culture and their life styles. in addition to that i get to work with people from various ethnicity.
This Company was great to work for. Reason for leaving was I moved to Okotoks and at the time I didn't have a drivers licence. Upper management was great, and other employees were great to work with.
