I worked for this company for 2 and a half years i have a lot of great memories and made some good friends along the way and we are still friends to this day
People standing around on there phones not completing the task given to them
climate at work is one of A&W's first priority. there focus is to maintain good climate and if there is an issue it needs to be sort out immediately. my favorite part is how everybody care for each other work together as partners in every time. i have learned plenty of things from working at A&W that is cooperation, patience, maintain good bonds, diversity and many more.

Aw management is the worst that I've ever seen the customers can be rude at times and it is very stressful to get orders completed on time I would not recommend this as a first job as it is very difficult for a person to manage.
Good hours and discounted lunch
Long hours and managment is very rude
The people there were super nice and friendly they also had many regulars and everyone knew most of the people that work there
The people there were super nice and friendly they also had many regulars and everyone knew most of the people that work there. On feet alot
A&W was the worse job I ever worked at. Constantly working with broken equipment, no hot water and as little staff as possible even on the busiest days. As a nightshift supervisor, I worked for the company for almost a decade. In my time of being there I was given a wage review only 3 times. Any time I asked for a wage review I was told "we don't have the budget for any raises at this time." Meanwhile the owner would come in and show us pictures and videos of a $17000 aquarium that he was having installed in his basement.
Broken equipment, no wage reviews, no hot water, never scheduled enough staff.
My experience was fine only problem I had was that I had short breaks and I had to work awhile so it got tiring. I had to quit because we were moving to South Carolina and so that’s why I did not work there so long.
My coworkers are very kind and sociable. They helped out a lot. Customers can be impatient but it isn’t a big deal! Some were very very nice!! My manager was very understanding and strict when needed (very responsible)
Most toxic environment I’ve ever worked in. Terrible management. Employees come and go every two weeks because of the lack of professionalism from the manager and owner. I would not recommend this job to anyone.
I worked with several different restaurants, and all were the same. Poorly managed & lots of staffing issues. You're either worked too much, or barely scheduled at all, so not a good fit for someone whose looking for part time work. You must have full open availability in order to actually get the shifts. It's great for a first job - but that's pretty much it.
The food is great, most people love our food. The coworkers are not that great. There is a lot of drama that is unnecessary and needs to stay at home. The coworkers do not know how to communicate and work together. It’s easy money, but the environment makes it very difficult to keep energy and want to keep coming back to work.
breaks every two hours, slow hours
No lunch breaks, drama, uncommunicative coworkers
Store owner and upper management are all good except the Area manager she is so unprofessional, loves to gossip, lie and do lots of story without basis. She keeps changing her statement ,very unreliable and always taking what supposed to be for the staff or management part. Work here is really stressful if the team is not that great but I'm fortunate my team is good. This job requires 24/7 in which I dont like because of 2 things!
Area manager unprofessional, not paid well for the 24/7, life unbalanced
There's a lot of hassle but it ain't too bad. Good starting option as your first job. Helps you develop the skills necessary to do well in other areas of work, teaches you patience and teamwork.
You get paid.
Very fast paced, often hectic work environment.
When I started here, I was in high school. It was a really good job, had some nice customers, and management was really nice. Understood and cared for us. Then came a couple months later. Got a new management system which kinda messed up the whole system We had. Had so much stress thrown on me as I was one of the good workers they had. Had some shifts with select workers who wouldn’t do their job, and made me do their jobs. When I talked to new management, they just shrugged it off, saying that I had to “carry” the slack. I was really young (15) at the time, and was expected to do so much work at $15 an hour. Customers sometimes were very rude, and wouldn’t care about the workers at all. Some would yell at me demanding refunds, and lie when complaining to management. I’ve also had to cover a lot of shifts while I worked here. When I was first hired, the manager (who I loved) didn’t schedule me too much and made sure to give me breaks. New management has made me work 6 days a week at times, even when I’ve told them I have other jobs at home I have to attend to. The A&W here has relied off me so much because of how good of a worker I was, they would just keep the staff who didn’t do their jobs because I could carry their workload with me. Some of the workers here were very nice, and would help me get through work, but some wouldn’t help, and as previously mentioned, make me do their work. One of the worst things I would say is how they treat the workers (a&w). It seems that no matter how much you work, you are expected to settle with your $15 an hour. We can accept tips here, - plus...
Had to cover too many people’s shifts
i worked hard and did the food prep and cleaning very well and i loved my other coworkers there. it was alot of work but it was easy to handle with the training i had.
fun workplace easy to handle
