Your typical day at A&w would be opening the store turning all the heater for the food slider on, making sure the coffee is on and make a fresh batch. Hardest part of the job was mostly the manager and the costumers because management is poorly employees have left because of it. the most enjoyable part of the job was I got to meet people my age and I got to work with two of my best friends
You don’t get a break unless you work 6 hours, and even then you get 1 half hour break. Even if you work 8+ hours. Always a very busy store (on Confederation St. Sarnia), and yet most of the time when we are busy we have a max of 4 people on, because “labor is too high”. A lot of excuses given. When the pandemic hit they let us decide if we wanted to wear a mask or not, and the manager at the time not only had to fight to give us the covid pay, but to get masks, gloves and hand sanitizer in store.
